Clubs - Charleston, SC

Some information on Charleston sent to me by Jonathon Brown (jbrown@engr.soltech.com):

The Dance scene in Charleston really took off three years ago when House DJ's Kelvin and Adonis moved here from San Francisco to open Grass Roots Records. They turned me on to the jazz and helped me establish myself as a local Lounge DJ. Occasionally, Adonis will play a tape of mine on his show, House of Rythms, on 100.9 FM 3-6 AM Saturday Mornings.

In town we have two clubs that occasionally have acid jazz DJ's:

Channel Red: Wednesday: a gay bar with classic red velvet interior and a nice dance floor.
Goovers: Weekends: a Trancey dance club with a chill room playing Ambient and occasionally Acid Jazz.
